Tex Avery

In the history part we are talking about Tex Avery the master of timing. Tex was born on February 26 1908 in the dusty town of Taylor Texas. Tex's first animation job was Walter lance studios. After directing 2 cartoons Fred (Tex) Bean Avery moved on to Warner To create Bugs Bunny & Daffy duck. After a quarrel with his boss Leon Schlesinger Tex left & went on to Mgm where he created the screwy squirrel & droopy. Unfortunately on leaving MgM Tex left directing ang went into the field of making commercials.

Woodbury Event Update

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to remind you guys that the Woodbury event is going to be held this Saturday. We will discuss this more at the meeting on Friday. This Friday we have a lot of news discuss, and we will be writing our first podcast outline, and doing a lot more exciting things on Friday.

Topics for the Official Podcast for the Club

The first poll topic is up, and we'll be discussing the results  at our meeting. If they are enough votes, we will discuss the results, and if  they are not enough votes we will start discussing the layout of our podcast on Animation this week. I'll have a rough draft  of  the  layout on Friday, and we will discuss it on Friday. Also I would like to discuss with you guys, about what you want to talk about on the podcast.  If the layout becomes official on Friday, we can start our show next week. This will be discussed more in length on Friday. The meeting will be at the same time on Friday and at the same place.

Animation Club Meeting

There will be a animation club meeting this Friday. This week we will discuss possible field trips, animation festivals, animation contests online, and much more. We also be discussing on broadcasting a formal podcast about animation.  More details will be given at the meeting. See you this Friday at 1:30. We will meet downstairs at 1:30, and then we will be going upstairs to conduct our meeting.

Hi everyone and welcome to the animation blog. This blog will help you be able to keep up with the club and the events that's going  are to be taking place this semester. The club is going to be many exciting events this semester such as going to studios, having a industry professionals come and talk to us, and many more. The animation club this semester will be held on Friday's from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. in College of the Canyons Mentry Hall in room number 219. We will be meeting down their first this week.
